Boil the potatoes in salted water until they are fork-tender, about 15 minutes. Drain and let cool. Use a fork or the bottom of a glass to gently smash each potato until it's about 1/2 inch thick. Sprinkle salt, crushed red chilies, and olive oil. Air fry these smashed potatoes at 380 for 20 minutes or bake them in a preheated oven at 400 F for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown and crispy.
